Paper art craft artist Chigiri-Eh (Collage of Finger-torn Colored Papers) by ERI HAYASHI Welcome to the World of Chigiri-Eh!!
I “paint” and “draw” with finger-torn colored papers. My fingers are the brushes. Colored papers are my medium. Out of torn-papers emerge faces, animals, flowers, and anything and everything I want. There is no rule, there is no limitation. I don’t even do rough sketches. Piece by piece, I ar-range torn papers until they form what I imagined. I can rearrange pieces as much as I want. I feel so free when I am working with papers. My imagination takes its wings and I am filled with pure joy while I create. I sincerely hope my joy of creation will bring happiness to each and every one who sees them. Thank you for coming to this show. I hope you enjoy it!!!
